Word of the Day: intemperate

intemperate

He loved completely and hated completely.  This was all he knew to do.  Watching as hope after hope crumbled, he wondered to himself why his heart remained in pieces.  Was he wrong to let his passion consume all?  Sometimes he thought so.  And still, he knew no other way to live.

Word of the Day: barbican

barbican

We put up stone walls and barbed wire fences to protect us from broken hearts.  They offer the illusion of security, but love always finds a way in.  It slips through the cracks and takes you by surprise.  It turns everything upside down, while you wonder how this could have happened.  Fences and walls still have their rifts, and there are certain things that will always find a way into our lives.  All that our barriers do is delay them a bit.
